The supply voltage is 24V, but once the temperature transmitter is connected, the voltage drops to 9V. What should I do? Urgent online request
Which brand’s is it, what’s the model number? What is the voltage requirement for powering the instrument, and can it still function properly at 9V? The gauge should be fine; otherwise, with such a large voltage drop, if it couldn’t function, the manufacturer wouldn’t produce it. I encountered a 24V radar once; again, the voltage drop was too high, which prevented the instrument from functioning properly. It turned out that one of the setting parameters inside was incorrect. But I’ve always been puzzled: if the parameter is incorrect, how can the voltage drop be so large? Moreover, I tested it in other locations later on, and changing that setting had no effect at all.
This reason is not necessarily high impedance; another cause is the low power at 24V. I have encountered this situation before
First, check whether there is a problem with the power supply or if its power output is insufficient. If the power supply is fine, replace it with another temperature-sensitive component to see what happens.
If the power supply lacks sufficient power or there is an internal short circuit due to temperature changes, it is recommended to try using another temperature-sensitive device of the same model
The 24VDC power supply or safety barrier does not have sufficient load capacity, resulting in a decrease in the voltage supplied due to temperature changes
Is it because the cable is too long? Or is there a problem with the cable? Try connecting the instrument directly to a 24V DC regulated power supply to determine whether the issue lies with the instrument or the power supply. Eliminate them one by one
