I plan to travel to Huangshan in Anhui on October 1st for a 4-day trip. It’s my first time there, so I was wondering if anyone who has been there could give me some advice or suggestions.
Do you want advice on that aspect? ? ? ? ?
There is a lot of information about Huangshan on travel websites; you can take a look. 4 days in Huangshan is plenty of time; you can spend 2 days on the mountain and 2 days in the ancient villages around Huangshan.
If I must give a suggestion, it is to cancel the trip to Huangshan on National Day! It’s not meant to dampen spirits, but during the National Day holiday, the crowd density at Huangshan is so high that it’s described as \"packed with people, shoulder to shoulder\" – you might not believe it. But one thing I can tell you is that access is prohibited at three intersections, both in front of and behind, along the highway near Huangshan City.
If I must give a suggestion, it is to go to Huangshan a few days before the National Day holiday. Then, leave on the 11th.
It might be difficult to avoid peak times and holidays. If it’s possible to do so, it’s recommended to go after National Day; the weather is nicer in autumn, and it’s not the Golden Week, so hotel prices and other costs are much lower
The price is 150 per day before National Day, and 500–700 per day during National Day.
Is it by private car, as part of a tour group, or on a self-guided trip? By car or train? Is high-speed rail available?
