May I ask, is the flow rate of diesel entering the tank required to be less than 1 meter per second when filling an empty tank?
Normally, internal floating roof tanks are used for naphtha, and there are requirements regarding the flow rate of naphtha (i.e., crude gasoline) entering the tank: the flow rate should not exceed 1 meter per second when the tank is empty, and it should not exceed 4 meters per second once it is above the inlet and outlet pipes. For diesel, I use dome tanks here; since the production volume is low, around 900 liters of diesel enter the tank per day. The feed pipe has a diameter of DN150, and the flow rate is not high – you can figure that out easily. So there are no clear strict requirements.
