The total investment is expected to be 31 billion yuan, with a designed annual gas transmission capacity of 4 billion cubic meters. The first is its geographical location: the Xilinhot coal field is located closest to here, and there are dedicated railway lines, which reduces the cost of coal transportation. The second advantage is related to resources – Keshikten Banner has 990 million cubic meters of water available, enough to produce 20 billion cubic meters of natural gas. Today, building on the Datang coal-to-gas project, Kesikteng Banner has also planned three main industrial chains: the natural gas fine chemicals industry, the processing of by-products from Lurgi furnaces, and the comprehensive utilization of waste. In total, there are 19 projects under these chains. At present, four downstream projects, including tar hydrogenation and crude phenol refining, are under construction, with operations expected to begin next year. Once all phases of the project are operational, annual sales revenue could reach 15 billion yuan.
