Dear experts, can a flow meter designed for liquid nitrogen be used to measure substances such as liquid oxygen and LNG?
The temperature of liquid nitrogen is -198 degrees Celsius; the temperature itself is not an issue, so we need to check for corrosion or other things that require attention.
Generally, flow meters are calibrated for specific media. It’s not that they cannot be used to measure other media either; however, if such measurement is attempted, the displayed values will not correspond to the actual values. Either one needs to know the conversion factor or the device must be sent back to the manufacturer so that it can be recalibrated for the new medium

Regarding the medium temperature, it’s of course no problem to use a flow meter designed for liquid nitrogen to measure liquid oxygen; we have used target-type flow meters for liquid nitrogen.
Do other aspects refer to accuracy?
The accuracy of target flowmeters is not impressive. . The mass flow meter is the true best choice. . Select a specific model. LNG, as well as liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen, can be measured
