Secondary condensation is primarily used to remove the gaseous components from the non-condensable gases, resulting in minimal loss of medium. The structure isn’t anything special; spiral plates (which are commonly used) or fixed tube sheets work fine, it’s just that chilled water is used instead of circulating water.
