There’s no way to control the smoke coming from the knife edge of the furnace door and the burner – are there any good solutions? Thank you all!
How many years old is the coke oven? What should the pressure in the gas collection pipe be? What is the coking time? For a new coke oven, smoking at the knife edge is likely due to poor management; if there is smoking at the furnace tip, it suffices to seal the seams where the protective plates meet using asbestos rope. If the furnace has been in use for over ten years, the blade edges need to be replaced.

What does it mean to be unable to manage it? Focus on management. With better management, the smoking from the furnace door and furnace head has naturally improved as well. Regular repairs and maintenance are also necessary; our coke ovens are 11 years old now. In recent years we haven’t purchased any new oven doors – we’ve repaired them ourselves.
Issues related to workshop management must be addressed comprehensively!

Based on the sequence of coke pushing, check whether there are large fluctuations in the pressure of the gas collection pipe; replace the blade edges, clean the furnace door regularly, and ensure proper sealing of the furnace door after coke pushing, etc
Actually, smoking from the edge of the furnace door isn’t a major problem; what’s important is proper management. With adequate management, the smoking will be reduced
