When designing a mixing tank, it was found that according to GB150, an outer diameter of 57 mm for the connections along with a wall thickness of at least 5 mm is sufficient to eliminate the need for reinforcement? Is that really the case? I don’t think I’ve ever seen pipes this thick; I didn’t notice any reinforcement either – or maybe I just didn’t see it? ? I’ve looked up a lot of information, but I haven’t found any calculations regarding the reinforcement for this type of pipe; moreover, its wall thickness isn’t even 5 mm. What’s going on? ?
There are steel pipes with a thickness of 5 mm; just inquire with the manufacturer

According to GB150, when all conditions are met, no additional reinforcement is required. Normal pipes of size 57 have 5 layers of thickness; ask the manufacturer – sizes 6 and 8 are also available; otherwise, thick-walled pipes wouldn’t exist. 5 is also standard.
Yeah, 5 thick tubes of size 57 are common specifications – why aren’t they listed? Also, it’s not accurate to say that no reinforcement is needed for more than 5 tubes; that applies only when there is a corrosion margin of 1. Maybe you haven’t come across many different tube specifications

I once built a regeneration vessel with 4MM pipes, without any reinforcement, and the openings were still on the head
I have two questions. 1. Generally, which series, A or B, is used for pipes? 2. Is a wall thickness of 3.5 mm for DN32 common? I want to set the wall thickness at the minimum required by GB150 to avoid having to perform calculations for reinforcement through openings. Is this reasonable? Thank you in advance!
GB150 specifies that for 57mm pipes with a wall thickness of 5mm or more, the requirement for opening reinforcement of a specified type can be waived. If the thickness is less than 5 mm, calculations are required. As for some devices where such holes or connections are less than 5 mm in diameter and no reinforcement rings are used, it’s because the strength calculations can be done without including those reinforcement rings, so no reinforcement rings are added.
