The Shaanxi Gear 3000KW back-pressure steam turbine suffers from severe shaft seal leakage, and it is not possible to establish a negative pressure in the shaft seal extractor. Could the guys help with some research?
Check the pipeline seals to see if there are any issues
First, check whether there is any leakage in the exhaust pump itself. It’s also possible that the clearance of the steam seal in the turbine is too large, resulting in significant leakage from the steam seal.
It is possible that the steam seal gap of the turbine itself is excessive, resulting in excessive steam seal leakage and an inability to create a vacuum； On the other hand, it might be due to issues with the vacuum pump itself; factors such as whether the nozzle is unobstructed, the pump’s sealing performance and cooling effect, and whether the air supply pressure is sufficient need to be checked.
