We plan to purchase a sintering furnace. For the temperature control system, we are considering using thyristors, PID temperature controllers, as well as PLCs, paperless recorders, touchscreens, thermocouples, online infrared temperature sensors, an alarm system, interlocks, emergency stop functions, pneumatic valves, pressure sensors, and other similar components or functions. As users, how should we decide which of these to use and which ones are necessary, which ones are not necessary, which ones can be substituted for others, and which manufacturers’ instruments are the best? Both domestic and foreign options can be considered. The operating temperature is above 2000°C – what are the requirements for thermocouples in such conditions? The process engineering team came to seek help and discuss together in order to learn and improve.
Above 2000 degrees, is a tungsten-rhodium couple needed?
Thank you for your guidance. What are the material requirements for this tungsten-rhenium thermocouple? The metal used inside is tungsten-rhenium, but are there any special requirements for the other components as well? Could the master give some guidance?
