Our factory’s boilers do not follow a regular, fixed schedule for drainage operations; there is a high degree of randomness in these operations, which results in significant fluctuations in the parameters of the boiler water and steam. Are there any regulations regarding this in China? :)
As the boiler water continues to evaporate, the concentration of dissolved salts and other impurities gradually increases, deteriorating the water quality and causing foaming or scaling due to heating; therefore, it is necessary to drain the water. Row discharge: Also known as surface drainage, it removes impurities from the water surface as well as boiler water with a high salt concentration. Regular blowdown: Remove the sediments from the boiler water. It should be carried out once per shift, for no less than half a minute; the amount of water drained should be 2% of the water supply volume
I wonder if there are any regulations in China regarding this?
It seems not; it’s just included in the boiler’s operating procedures. There are specific templates for these procedures available online that can be used as a reference.
