According to Polaris Environmental Recruitment Network: Suzhou Wujiang Everbright Environmental Energy Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Everbright International Co., Ltd., established in Wujiang. It is responsible for the investment, construction, operation, and management of the municipal waste incineration power generation project in Wujiang District. This project is an environmental protection and resource recycling-based power generation initiative that was developed through cooperation between China Everbright International Co., Ltd. and the people of Wujiang District, under a BOO concession model. The project is located to the south of the East-West Expressway in Taihu New City, Wujiang District, and to the west of Changbaidang. Its capacity is to process 1,500 tons of domestic waste per day, which amounts to 600,000 tons per year. The total investment in the project is 889 million yuan. It adopts a grate furnace incineration process that meets international advanced standards, equipped with 2×750-ton/day waste incinerators and 2×18MW steam turbine generators. Two 110kV connection lines are provided to connect to the local power grid. Flue gas treatment employs the process of \"SNCR denitration inside the furnace + semi-dry acid removal + dry lime injection + activated carbon adsorption + bag filter dust removal,\" with emissions fully complying with the EU 2000 standards. Leachate and other wastewater are treated using a process that includes \"pre-treatment + UASB anaerobic reactor + MBR biological treatment system + NF nanofiltration membrane\". After treatment to meet the required standards, part of this water is reused, while the remaining portion is sent to a wastewater treatment plant for further treatment before being discharged. The slag resulting from waste incineration is used for the comprehensive utilization of general solid waste ； The fly ash is safely landfilled after being stabilized and solidified. Construction of the project began on May 22, 2015, with completion and commissioning scheduled for the second half of 2016.
