PID control parameters are surely well-known to everyone, but they don’t seem to be used very often by instrumentation professionals.
PID parameter tuning is a basic skill that every instrument technician should possess; without the ability to do so, one cannot be considered a qualified instrument technician.
Normally, PID parameter setting should be part of the regular control processes in manufacturing; professionals are responsible for ensuring the reliability of these functions. Or, when it becomes difficult to manage the processes, it is necessary for professionals to provide additional functional modules to assist in this task. Therefore, to some extent, professionals do not necessarily need to have greater expertise in the manufacturing processes than those who are more experienced in them.
