In many U-tube heat exchangers, the tube sheets are of the clamped type, that is, type A tube sheets. Is their outer diameter determined based on the container flanges, or are there corresponding standards that can be referred to?

We generally determine the inner diameter of the FM sealing surface of the clamped type tube sheet based on the flange grade; for larger tube sheets, we use the external dimensions of the flange. The standard is GBT 151-2014 for heat exchangers
Determined based on the dimensions of the flange sealing surface of the selected equipment – the outer diameter is the same as that of the convex flange sealing surface
The inner diameter of the FM sealing surface of the clamped type tube sheet is determined according to the flange class.
