When a sight-glass type glass plate level gauge is installed in a pressure vessel, is it necessary to calculate reinforcement for the rectangular opening created for its installation? If it is used, how is it calculated?

It needs to be calculated, with the longer side used as the basis for determining the circle. If that side is too long, crossbars need to be added in the middle of the mirror according to stress analysis requirements; in such cases, the length between the two crossbars is used as the basis for calculating the equivalent circle.
For a rectangular opening, isn’t it not very appropriate to use a circle? Could there be significant stress concentration at the right angles? I think it’s necessary to conduct analysis and calculations
