Valve stem length

I would like to know the length of the valve stem and the size of the handwheel for American-standard valves (such as gate valves). B16.10 only specifies the nominal length, and the manufacturing standard API600 also does not provide these dimensions. Is it possible that there are no standards for the length and handwheel size, and each manufacturer determines them on its own? Please ask an expert for help.

There is no standard specification for the length of the valve stem; the diameter is specified, while the length is determined by the valve’s stroke. The diameter of the handwheel is related to the torque of the valve. According to ASME B16.34, the force applied by a person is assumed to be 360 N; the diameter of the handwheel is then calculated based on this torque. The standard value in EN specifications can be higher, at 450 N.
For special operating conditions (non-ambient temperatures, insulation layers), special requirements can be made; generally, the manufacturer decides on these options themselves
