Spot Market 1. Supply side: The supply of goods in the East China market remains insufficient, with traders maintaining high quotes. 2. On the demand side: downstream demand has shown little improvement, with most purchases being for essential restocking. Futures market: The main contract for Dalian futures, 1601, closed at 5,170 yuan, up 5 yuan or 0.1%. The spot PVC price in Shandong on the Bohai Exchange closed at 5,300 yuan, remaining unchanged. Brief analysis of future market trends: Today, the domestic PVC market showed a steady upward trend; futures prices closed higher at the end of the trading day, while transaction volume was below average. In terms of spot markets, shortages still exist, and these will be sufficient to support the market in the short term. Upstream factories have seen good sales volumes in the recent period, resulting in a decline in inventory levels. However, as prices rise, demand from downstream buyers has diminished, leading to a noticeable slowdown in trading activity. It is expected that PVC produced via the calcium carbide method will remain stable in the short term, while that produced via the ethylene method is likely to see further price drops.
