Naphtha hydrogenation

Now that hydrogenation of other oil types is being carried out, it’s not very profitable. So why are there still so many manufacturers engaged in the hydrogenation of naphtha? Is naphtha really that profitable?
The production of p-xylene requires reforming, and reforming needs pre-hydrogenated feedstock. Pre-hydrogenation is the hydrogenation of naphtha.

Since it is called naphtha, it is generally not used as a fuel for vehicles but rather as a raw material for producing other chemical products; therefore, when the sulfur content affects downstream processes or product quality, hydrogenation is used to remove the sulfur. The main processes using naphtha as a raw material fall into three categories: 1. Raw material for ethylene cracking 2. Raw material for catalytic reforming 3. Raw material for solvent oils
I know what it’s used for, but I’m wondering if the price difference in between is that large. The price of naphtha itself isn’t low either; is there still any profit left after hydrogenation?
