For DN15 high-pressure pipes, can holes be drilled directly for pressure sampling?

For a DN15 pipe (with an outer diameter of 22 mm) carrying CNG compressed natural gas, can a DN6 hole (with an outer diameter of 10 mm) be directly drilled in the pipe and then a branch pipe installed to connect to the pressure transmitter?
Do the calculations to see if it will work; if not, it’s better to choose standard fittings, a 1/2x3/8 tee.
According to the specifications for branch pipe connections and their fittings in GB/T20801.3-2006, it seems that the quality is a bit poor, but in actual engineering projects, direct welding is also used.
Just a little short? Size? Welding it directly might be an act of laziness; if the design specifies this in the drawings, responsibility can be attributed to the designer in case of problems ； Otherwise, it means the work was not carried out according to the drawings.
