How should the equipment in the entire plant be sealed? Use liquid nitrogen to gasify it and fill everything completely. .
Release everything that can be released; for what cannot be released, find ways to provide protection. After that, take protective measures: paint those areas that can be painted, cover those that can be covered, and use inflation for protection of those that can be inflated. Cut off power and water supply, go through the procedures for sealing up the area, and transfer control rights. Lock everything that can be locked – to prevent rust, fire, theft, and typhoons. That’s about it. :lol
First, purge with nitrogen, close the relevant valves, and seal the pipeline using blind flanges to ensure there are no leaks! :)
The equipment is shut down for an extended period; the system is thoroughly purged, with liquid drained from the lowest points and gas released from the highest points. Inert gas is used to displace the air inside the equipment, and the inlet and outlet valves are closed. It is advisable to install blind flanges at the inlets and outlets of key equipment to disconnect them from the system. A shutdown sign should be placed, a plan for the extended shutdown should be prepared, the procedures necessary for keeping the equipment idle for a long time should be followed, and the plan should be implemented.
Before sealing the equipment after the LNG production is halted, it must be purged with nitrogen for one to two hours. Blind flanges should be installed at the inlet and outlet of the equipment; a pressure gauge should be placed at one end, while an inlet for nitrogen should be left at the other end. 2–3 kilograms of nitrogen should be injected through this inlet, and the nitrogen pressure should be checked regularly.
I agree with this view; the system must be thoroughly purged, and the interior of the equipment needs to be sealed with nitrogen.
One more thing: the pressure after stamping needs to be checked and recorded regularly; if it is too low, stamping must be carried out. Additionally, some equipment requires regular turning over, with corresponding records kept.
Drain the materials from the pipelines and equipment. All pipelines and equipment are cleaned, flushed, and purged. If it can be taken apart eventually, do so quickly and sell it for money; how can it still be used after being left there for several years?
Not only LNG plants, but other petrochemical plants are also protected with nitrogen, right? But here’s the problem: what about equipment at normal pressure? What protection is there?
