How many companies have regular working schedules on May Day?

It was a simple May Day holiday. The headquarters set several requirements regarding the time off; the official policy called for two days of rest on public holidays plus one additional day off. However, on April 29th, we received an oral notice stating that only half of the days would be off, with the key departments responsible for construction, safety, and quality continuing to work as usual. Everyone was required to return to work on May 2nd. As soon as we started working on April 30th, we saw an email from the department stating simply: “Return to work.” I’m just wondering, how many companies have employees work normally during May Day?
It’s normal – production units don’t have such holidays; regular shift workers don’t get time off either, only the managers do. It’s the same for us maintenance staff as well. The only good thing is that we get one day off among those three days.
We too; we hold scheduling meetings as usual on Saturdays and Mondays, and we take a day off today.
Stop worrying, bro – our company doesn’t even have Sundays
Production factories are not generally like this; only the management and administrative staff are allowed to take holidays.

Companies that operate on a continuous production basis must work overtime. Of course, not all departments either.
