As the title suggests: Nowadays, the vent valves of many devices use control valves combined with noise reduction plates to reduce noise levels. However, the use of noise reduction plates affects the selection of the control valves, as these plates take some of the pressure drop on themselves. In such cases, how is the selection of both the control valve and the noise reduction plate determined? What about the pressure distribution?

The control valve mentioned by the poster is actually a vent valve (on-off valve), with a flow-limiting orifice plate connected in series upstream to protect the valve. I think the selection and calculation are no different from those for ordinary throttle orifice plate series valves. As for what part the pressure distribution refers to, which part is it?

Additionally, there’s a noise-reducing plate connected in series after the valve, which serves to reduce noise levels. For example, if the outlet pressure is 1 atm, or 0.1 Mpa, then inversely, the inlet pressure of the orifice plate should be around 0.18 Mpa. Is this pressure the outlet pressure of the valve?
It can be considered that way. Under normal circumstances, valves and orifice plates can be treated as a single unit.
