A problem was identified during production: in the tube side of the top condenser, the return pipe for the circulating water is at a higher level than the vent pipe. Yet there is water in the return pipe, and when the vent pipe is opened, air is drawn in. Is this phenomenon normal? Why does this phenomenon occur?
This situation is quite common. The reason is the siphon effect.
