Dear seniors, I am new to your bank; please forgive any amateurish mistakes in my words. Our factory needs to add a low-point drain to an existing pipe. The pipe is DN800, 12.0 mm, made of 304 material; the drain is DN25, 300 Lb grade, also made of 304 material. The branch fitting to be used is DN800, 12.0 mm * DN25, Sch40S STD BW, 304 material, in accordance with GB/T19326 standards. Is this way of specifying it appropriate?
This post was last edited by dlutyj on 2016-5-13 11:49. I think there are several issues. 1. Drain pipe: DN25, 300Lb, 304. What does 300lb refer to? The pipe specification does not indicate the weight rating.
2. Branch fitting: DN800, 12.0mm*DN25, Sch40S, STD, BW, 304, GB/T19326. Both SCH40S and STD denote wall thickness; only one of them needs to be specified. For DN25 drain pipes, due to their small size and thin wall thickness, socket welding SW should be used; when performing socket welding, the wall thickness is not specified for the branch pipe fittings, only the grade in pounds is indicated
The drain pipe should be connected by socket welding. Do not specify the wall thickness; instead, indicate the pound rating of the pipe support. The supervisor grade is 300LB, while socket welding generally requires 3000LB.
What standard does the pressure rating STD for a 300Lb drain valve refer to, and what is the wall thickness?
There’s no need to write the weight in pounds; just indicate the wall thickness. Where would pipes get their weight in pounds from?
