Dear fellow sailors, does the catalytic gasoline selective hydrogenation unit in your facilities include desulfurization and extractive processes? Is desulfurization of light gasoline that has been merely cut, or is desulfurization also performed on heavy gasoline after hydrogenation?

In our process, the full-range gasoline undergoes pre-hydrogenation, after which it is separated into light and heavy fractions in a separation tower. The light gasoline goes directly out of the plant to the etherification unit, while the heavy gasoline first passes through a hydrorefining reactor and then through a desulfurization and dewaxing reactor
Our process involves pre-reaction followed by cutting; light gasoline is discharged directly from the plant, and the hydrogenated heavy gasoline is also discharged directly from the plant

The general process involves selective hydrogenation to remove the light sulfur-containing dienes and convert them into heavier sulfur compounds; the light fractions are then separated out (and can be used as qualified products or processed via etherification), while the heavier fractions undergo two stages of desulfurization. The FCC gasoline production process is similar in principle
