Do large-diameter fiberglass reinforced plastic pipes require structural support?

Posting a request on behalf of a friend: A fiberglass-reinforced plastic pipe with an ECTF lining, to be used as an air duct. Due to the large diameter and brittle material, do you need internal support for the pipes?
Regarding the support issues of fiberglass reinforced plastic pipes, including external support, it is best to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations; using CAESAR to calculate stresses and similar parameters is not suitable.
It's needed. The strength of fiberglass-reinforced plastic pipes is also limited. I have seen the ductwork in aluminum chloride polymerization plants sagging and cracking; although there are supports, they are spaced quite far apart.

I’m not sure about the specific specifications; there is no internal support, only reinforcement ribs at regular intervals, and these ribs are incorporated during the manufacturing of the glass fiber pipe.
For large diameters, pipes with a sand-laid layer can be chosen, as their strength will meet the requirements; there is no internal support needed. You can consult the manufacturer.
