In my opinion, temperature has a significant impact on the apparent viscosity of fluids; higher temperatures result in lower viscosity and better fluidity, which in turn leads to reduced pipe resistance and pressure drops. Too low a temperature increases the viscosity of the fluid, causing the pipe resistance and pressure drop to increase accordingly. If the viscosity of the coal slurry is too high, it will also affect the flow rate of the coal slurry pump. Additionally, a high viscosity leads to an increase in surface tension, which is not conducive to the atomization of the coal slurry. The water used for coal grinding, as designed by the design institute, is raw water; however, taking into account the system’s water balance and wastewater treatment requirements, we have used low-pressure graywater in place of raw water. The temperature of low-pressure graywater is usually around 50°, so as long as the temperature is not too low, there should be no concerns regarding insulation.

The temperature level only affects viscosity and flowability.
