Who is familiar with butene oligomerization units? Are there any industrial facilities in the country, and where are they? It turns out that Lanzhou Petrochemical has a propylene oligomerization unit, and experiments on butene oligomerization have been conducted. Is it currently in operation? The main products of butene oligomerization are C8 and C12 olefins. Abroad, the major processes include the non-selective oligomerization process developed by the American company UOP, the non-selective MOGD oligomerization process from the former American company Mobil, and the selective oligomerization process developed by the French company IFP. In China, attempts were made in Shijiazhuang and Lanzhou during the 1990s, but the results were not very satisfactory. Sinopec and the University of Petroleum have also done considerable research in this area.
