Selection of purging pressure and design pressure before putting a pressure vessel into operation

Usually, before a device is put into operation, it needs to withstand steam purging. Assuming that the design pressure of this device is 0.6 MPa(G) and the design temperature is 90°C, the equipment was designed based on a pressure of 0.6 MPa(G), and the wall thickness calculations were also satisfactory. However, the process requirements for withstanding steam purging specify conditions of P=1.6 MPa(G) and T=210°C. How should the thickness of the device itself be verified in such cases?

The equipment team should communicate thoroughly with the process engineering department before design; the process engineering department should specify all operating conditions and requirements, after which the design can proceed.
