There is a pit on site that uses a Rosemount 3101 ultrasonic level gauge. It had been working stably until the variable frequency drive was installed on the water pump nearby; as soon as the drive starts operating, the level gauge begins to fluctuate. What could be the reason for this? Can interference be eliminated by setting the parameters in the level gauge? Please give me some advice, urgently! ! !
This is caused by interference; ensuring proper shielding and grounding doesn’t work, so it is recommended to replace the level gauge with another type (such as an insert-type level gauge).....
Ground the shielding layer of the wire and see if it works
Check the grounding of the cable shielding in the control room.
This is due to the interference caused by frequency conversion, and it cannot be controlled through parameters. Try adding an isolation barrier to the level gauge signal first; if that doesn’t work, use a 220V to 24V power module to supply power to the level gauge separately. It should be solvable. I have encountered such a situation.
