After the York chiller in our factory was shut down and restarted after some time, it was found that the liquid level in the lubricating oil tank had disappeared. Please help analyze the cause
The oil filter inside has failed, or it does not perform well in separating oil from gas during operation, causing the oil to be carried away
Does the engine rotate in the opposite direction when stopping? If it does, oil will flow into the gas-liquid separator; this has little to do with the oil separator. Similar problems have occurred with engines from other manufacturers as well.
This kind of phenomenon often occurs in vertical oil separators. It works normally when turned on, but disappears after it is turned off.

Is it the oil pump that is pumping oil into the system? It will be fine in a while; you can slightly relieve the pressure in the oil separator, and the refrigeration oil will return.
Oil leakage during shutdown – could it be due to a failed solenoid valve in the main oil circuit, which fails to keep the oil contained within it? YorkYS encountered this issue once.
It’s likely that lubricant has entered the system; it will return to the oil tank after running for a while!
