I’m a novice here and would like to ask: at a reaction pressure of 80 kilograms, is the material inside the reactor of the diesel hydrogenation unit in a fully gas phase state?
You need to provide detailed data to determine this; it depends on the diesel distillation range, as well as the temperature and pressure in the reactor. In most cases, a gas-liquid phase coexistence occurs, but there are also situations where it’s entirely a gas phase – however, this isn’t related to diesel hydrogenation
You’re right about what you said earlier – detailed data is needed to calculate the gas-phase and liquid-phase equilibria. There’s also full-liquid-phase diesel hydrogenation; have you come across full-gas-phase hydrogenation reactors yet? What is that device/reactor for meteorology?
