Dear experts, my company uses the magnesium oxide method for flue gas desulfurization; the resulting wastewater is treated by adding amides and polyaluminate in a vacuum belt conveyor before being reused. There are a few questions that have arisen during this process; please discuss them! 1. When dehydrating sludge produced by the magnesium method, vacuum belt conveyors have a low efficiency in producing sludge; the resulting sludge cakes are thin and have a high moisture content. 2. What are the reasonable ways to deal with the resulting sludge – landfilling or brick production? The current solution is to supply them to brick factories. 3. Sewage treatment and sludge treatment require significant investment in terms of labor and funds. Are there any ways to reduce costs?
Have you ever considered going with a BOT model, where a third party handles operations? It might be a bit more expensive, but it would solve all the problems
With simple modifications to the tower, magnesium sulfate can be produced through crystallization inside the tower!
If no one recovers it, it seems it can be mixed with coal ash or cinder for disposal together. If you want to improve the dehydration effect, you can consider using a plate and frame filter press.
