Regarding the calculation of the equivalent inertial force on tanks and similar structures, how do everyone approach this? If we follow the calculations for equivalent forces under the 4 operating conditions specified in 4781, what aspects need to be taken into account? It is clearly stated in the classification society’s specifications for container inspection, as specified in 4781; it’s a bit confusing. It says that the equivalent pressure acts on the centroid of the tank. So I’d like to ask how everyone approaches this issue and carries out the calculations?
