I would like to ask the experts: Background of the issue: The equipment is manufactured by a Japanese company; it features an inner extension tube with a bent section, and the bending of this section is carried out by an external manufacturer through heating. The device’s liquid-contacting parts require electrolytic polishing. Do these bent pipes require heat treatment? Thank you~

This depends on factors such as the material and heat treatment condition of the tube itself, operating conditions, and the hot bending process. For ordinary carbon steel pipes, heat treatment is not required during hot bending. For stainless steel, the impact on corrosion resistance must be taken into account; for high-alloy steel, the heat treatment state of the raw material and other factors need to be considered.
