This post was last edited by Thank goodness you're here on 2015-6-26 11:02. If we look back further, after all, which step is the most important? This is a question I often ask myself lately. Therefore, what needs to be asked at this moment is that it’s because life nowadays is quite different from before. It really seems the same on the surface – every day, one is busy from morning till night as if fueled by adrenaline. In the early years, the focus was more on work; now, it’s more on people. Since I am surrounded by more people, in a sense, even Sister Wei said: Many of my partners, when they meet me, praise you, saying that my brother is really great. Someone asked me: How did you achieve success today? Honestly, I’ve always thought it’s quite successful. What is Lecheng? Success isn’t about how much money one makes, or how many fans one has, or how many big movies one produces. Really, starting from my sophomore year, when I realized that I would inevitably be engaged in work related to writing and media for the next 10, 20, 30 years, I glanced at those around me – **they didn’t even know what they were going to do next month. I know it’s pretty easy to do in the first place. When an individual begins to understand themselves, to answer their own questions, and to find guidance for their heart, that is the greatest success in life. So, back to the first question: after all, which step is the most important? The answer isn’t which step is the most important; the answer is that those who know how to take the first step are the most important at the beginning of the year. It’s all thanks to my mom. Back then, my high school results were horrendous; I either had to spend 5,000 yuan to attend an ordinary class in a top-ranked high school, or spend 5,000 yuan to attend a top-class program at an ordinary high school. My mom thought about it for a moment and said: Instead of being packed into an ordinary class in a prestigious high school with people who pay tuition but don’t like studying, it’s better to go to a specialized class in an ordinary high school where many students strive to get in. According to her, it means that the focus classes in ordinary high schools have a higher degree of purity. It all proves that my mom was right. After that, I went to Hunan Normal University. For someone like me who has no idea what kinds of pleasures I enjoy, the only way for me to survive was to choose a major with a strong academic atmosphere, so I picked the Chinese Department, which at that time had the best academic environment. It turns out to be yet another atmosphere of high purity for further learning. Since then, I have often seen people write that no matter how bad the world may be, as long as you maintain a pure heart, you will still remain a good person. I changed it to: If you are not a person with exceptional self-control, then work together with more people who share a kind heart like yours; in this way, the group can become stronger, and your individual self will naturally also grow stronger. Some people redeem themselves by being admitted to Tsinghua, Peking University, or Fudan University; others manage to make a name for themselves on their own even after making mistakes and ending up in a junior college. Under no circumstances should one think that the college entrance exam, or perhaps the middle school entrance exam, or even just an oral examination, can determine one’s entire life path. As long as the lamp in the heart can be lit for oneself and keep burning, whenever one loses their way, by looking at that glow in the heart, there is nothing to fear. Before my sophomore year, whenever I didn’t know what life was or what the future held, I would constantly try to find someone with a strong heart and a shining spirit; I believed that by meeting such a person, I would have the chance to receive guidance. So I asked my deskmate, my classmates, my elders, and anyone I could ask, only to get vague answers. The answer to the fierce storm had already blown out the fragile flames in the heart; and if things got worse, with a downpour, there would be no chance for those flames to reignite for a long time. Regardless of the grades or the school one goes to, I hope that by the time we meet again, we will have become better people. Time won’t get in the way, and youth will continue like this~~ (Text from the Internet)
