In middle school, I expanded the then-popular song \"Yellow Maple Leaves\" by Xue Zhiqian into a novel~~~ and got a high score: lol:lol:lol. Let’s talk – what other songs did you use? Jay Chou? Zhang Yu? ,,,,
Yellow Maple Leaves, Xue Zhiqian. Across the bridge, deep in the flowing water; outside the house, there’s a grove of maple trees. The battlefield is filled with smoke and fire. After tonight, I will set off on a long journey. You pick those yellow maple leaves as proof that I’m leaving in autumn. I promise to return when the red maple leaves bloom again in vast numbers. The autumn wind sweeps across the battlefield, separating those who love each other. I hold onto hope as I fight my way through the chaos. I know your tears have already turned into a sea. As blood gradually swallows away all hopes, a sword pierces my chest, and my vision becomes blurred. Yet I can still see your face. You wave your hands among countless threads, and I fall for your beauty. Those yellow maple leaves drift through the smoke, coming to see me one last time. I seem to be able to see that sea of maple trees, and to see you still waiting under those trees, guarding your love. I want to fly over mountains and rivers to be by your side, just to say goodbye once more. Tears mix with the blood that wells up before I close my eyes. Those yellow maple leaves drift through the world and come to me. I really want to take one last look at you, before drinking the potion of forgetfulness
To be honest, Xue Zhiqian doesn’t watch ‘Who Is the Greatest Singer’. I really have no idea; it’s a generation gap!
