As the title suggests, conventional urea production plants have separate exhaust gases from their atmospheric and low-pressure absorption towers; the ammonia content in these gases is approximately 12 v% and 0.67 v%, respectively. Normally, such gases are simply vented, but environmental regulations now require ammonia removal. How do you handle these two types of gases in your respective projects?
Further absorption not only meets environmental protection requirements but also reduces ammonia consumption in the system.
Is the urea plant of the poster using CO2 stripping? The problem raised by the poster is a common issue with CO2 stripping units, especially those of the 18.30 type designed in China; there are defects in the process design, as the absorption liquid from tower 4b returns to the atmospheric pressure tower, which is not feasible from a theoretical standpoint. The existing process needs to be modified.
