Series D solvent oil, also known as dearomatized solvent oil, is an environmentally friendly type of solvent oil. D stands for Dearomatic, an aromatic-free solvent oil; the number indicates the flash point. The main grades include D20, D30, D40, D60, D65, D70, D80, D100, D110, etc. It features strong solubility, good volatility, good stability, low sulfur content, low aromatic compounds, being non-toxic, odorless, leaving no residues, and offering a wide range of options for selection. Different grades of D-series solvent oils have various applications; those with a flash point below 60 are used in fragrance production, as oils for pharmaceutical intermediates, in cleaning agents, dry cleaning solvents, as auxiliaries in printing and dyeing, as solvents for adhesives, and as diluents for paints and coatings. Solvent oils with a flash point of 80–100 are primarily used as solvents for insecticides and aerosol insecticides, as well as for herbicides; they serve as solvents for adhesives, as degreasing agents for wool, and for cleaning circuit boards. They are also used as base oils for aluminum foil and sheets, as well as in electrical discharge machining. Solvent oils with a flash point of over 110 are mainly used as ink solvents, additives in mineral processing, liquid mosquito repellents, leather processing aids, and adhesives for tobacco.
