Questions about GB50016 standard

The company’s oil tank is used to store lubricating oil, with a capacity of up to 1000 m3; the pump is installed about 2.5 meters away from the tank. A petrochemical company conducted a safety discussion, stating that it did not meet requirement 4.2.7 of GB50016 – the fire separation distance between Class C B storage tanks and pump rooms should be at least 10 meters. I’m a bit confused – is a single pump, with no covering at all, still considered a pump room? What is the definition of a pump room?

Outdoor pumps can comply with the petrochemical standard GB50160, and the required size should be no less than 10m x 0.75 = 7.5m. It is not acceptable to have the pump next to the storage tank, even though it is a tank with Class C fire hazard.
