What are the reasons for high pressure at the compressor inlet?
There’s a clear description of this in the operating procedures, right?
The instruments are malfunctioning, the feed rate is high, the gas-phase load is high, the anti-surge valve is opened too wide, the liquid level in the inter-stage tanks is not functioning properly causing the gas phase from the outlet to flow back into the inlet, the temperature of the oil and gas at the top of the distillation tower is high after cooling, and there are other issues that we may have missed – please add them.
With all other conditions remaining constant, a change in the temperature of the oil and gas at the top of the distillation tower after cooling will result in a change in the density of the gas, which in turn causes a change in the pressure of the rich gas at the compressor inlet. I’m not sure if this explanation is correct. By the way, I’m not sure what you mean by high pressure Has it risen suddenly or remained high? What are the parameters?
