A few days ago, the Yunnan Province Science and Technology Project Acceptance and Performance Evaluation Center organized an acceptance panel composed of relevant experts to assess the Yunnan Provincial major science and technology project titled “Development and Demonstration of Technologies for the Efficient Conversion and Resource Utilization of Yunnan Lignite – Development of Key Technologies and Equipment for Fixed-Bed Slag Gasification and Related Engineering Demonstrations” (Project Number: 2012ZB001). This project was undertaken by Yunnan Coal Chemical Group Co., Ltd., with specific implementation carried out by Yuanfeng Chemical of Yunnan Jiehua Clean Energy Development Co., Ltd. The project underwent preliminary financial acceptance on March 30, 2016. The experts present reviewed the relevant technical documents and materials, inspected the site, and listened to reports on the implementation and completion status. Following their inquiries and thorough discussions, it was confirmed that the project had fulfilled all the research and development tasks as well as the technical and economic criteria specified in the project plan. The acceptance panel unanimously agreed to approve the project. This project has developed technologies for the recycling of carbon dioxide gas, a multi-stage mutual charging process for coal and gas, as well as a low steam-to-oxygen ratio to improve the efficiency of steam-driven decomposition ; Stability studies on gasification technology were conducted, proprietary equipment for the efficient gasification of lignite was developed, a key technical package for fixed-bed slag pressurized gasification was established, and a coal gasification demonstration plant with a daily coal input capacity of 1,200 tons was built. The \"key technologies and equipment for fixed-bed slag gasification\" developed as part of this project address the technical challenges associated with the large-scale, efficient, and clean utilization of lignite with high moisture content and low calorific value. These technologies can be applied in areas such as coal-based synthetic ammonia and methanol production, coal-to-oil conversion, coal-to-natural gas production, coal-based olefins (aromatics) production, and combined-cycle power generation, offering broad prospects for market adoption and application.
