Which manufacturers, both domestic and international, are good at producing S30408 low-temperature steel?
Is S30408 a low-temperature steel? Isn’t it austenitic stainless steel? Why am I so confused?
S30408 is equivalent to 06Cr19Ni10; the old designation for it was 0Cr18Ni9, which is what people commonly refer to as \"304 stainless steel\".
This isn’t some special steel either; large domestic manufacturers can produce it, such as Taiyuan Iron and Steel in Shanxi and Wuyi Iron and Steel

S30408 is likely not a low-temperature steel; it can only be used in low-temperature conditions. For the standards related to low-temperature steels, refer to GB/T3531-2014. The original poster wasn’t entirely precise in their statements. :$
Austenite is the best material for low-temperature applications; however, due to its high procurement cost, GB/T3531 materials are chosen depending on the temperature. If purchasing austenitic stainless steel material of S30408, the technology of domestic steel plate manufacturers is already quite advanced, so there is no need to use foreign materials. A single sentence costs money, and the deadline cannot be guaranteed.

GB 3531-2014 does not specify the temperature ranges for use of the six types of low-temperature steels it covers; how can these temperature ranges be determined?
