On June 16, Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group's "Integrated Optimization Development and Industrial Application of Coal, Oil and Gas Comprehensive Utilization Technology" scientific and technological achievements passed expert appraisal in Beijing. The appraisal committee composed of 14 authoritative experts in the national energy and chemical industry, including Jin Yong and Shu Xingtian, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, judged that this achievement broke through the traditional production concept and engineering model of coal-to-methanol or natural gas-to-methanol, and opened up a new model of comprehensive utilization of oil and gas resources. It has significant energy-saving and emission reduction effects, is highly innovative, and the overall technology is at the leading international level. On the same day, after listening to the relevant reports of Yanchang Petroleum Group and the on-site assessment expert group, the appraisal committee unanimously agreed to pass the appraisal and recommended that Yanchang Petroleum Group further summarize, improve and improve, and accelerate the promotion and application of the results. The appraisal committee believed that this achievement developed a new process for the comprehensive utilization of coal, oil and gas, efficiently utilized coal, oil and gas resource elements, and realized industrial application; it proposed a new concept of "raw material hydrocarbon complementation", and pioneered the "multi-head and one-tail" optimized matching process of "coal gasification - small proportion conversion and purification, one-stage natural gas conversion, methanol synthesis - crude methanol single tower distillation and multi-effect evaporation", which effectively improved energy conversion efficiency, resource utilization, and reduced carbon emissions; it was developed and applied for the first time. The crude methanol refining process of "single tower distillation + multi-effect evaporation" has reduced steam consumption and equipment investment; for the first time, it has developed a "carbon and hydrogen complementation" multi-variable complex control system for methanol synthesis and a one-click setting system for air test conditions of the gasification unit, creating good conditions for flexible control and safe and stable operation of the methanol combined unit; through the integration of multiple technologies and full-process control, the organic connection between the upstream and downstream is taken into consideration to treat high-salt sewage, realizing the reuse of all wastewater and no sewage discharge. It is understood that Yanchang Petroleum Group completed and put into operation the world's first comprehensive utilization project of coal, oil and gas resources in Jingbian, northern Shaanxi Province in July 2014, producing high-quality polyethylene, polypropylene and other products. This technology cleverly solves the key technical bottlenecks of low energy efficiency, high water consumption, and high emissions of traditional coal-to-methanol production. Through the complementation of carbon and hydrogen, the energy conversion efficiency and resource utilization rate are significantly improved. In May this year, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation organized an expert group to conduct a 72-hour continuous operation assessment and calibration of the Jingbian coal, oil and gas resources comprehensive conversion project. The results show that compared with the advanced value of traditional coal-to-methanol technology, the energy conversion efficiency of this project is increased by 16.88%, the carbon resource utilization rate is increased by 17.74%, the comprehensive energy consumption per unit product is reduced by more than 15.50%, water consumption is reduced by more than 70.33%, CO2 emissions are reduced by 60.38%, and SO2 emissions are reduced by 59%.
