Could someone please explain the seal cooler on centrifugal pumps? Does anyone have any information on this topic?
There are generally two types of cooling for mechanical seals: one is used to cool the self-flushing medium, with the medium flowing through the tube side and water flowing through the shell side； There is also a type designed for cooling the seal oil; in this case, the seal oil between two double-end face mechanical seals is circulated to the shell side of an external cooler (which also serves as a container), while cooling water flows through the internal coils to cool it!
