Reciprocating two-stage compressor: what causes the increase in pressure between stages?
In my opinion, it’s the secondary intake valve that doesn’t do any work!
Turn the primary pressure regulator slightly to control the pressure ratio at each stage. . .
What needs to be checked regarding the equipment?
Primary exhaust pressure increases; 1: Adjust the pressure ratio after each cycle
The exhaust pressure at stage 1 increases. 1. Adjust the pressure ratio by opening and closing it once; 2. There is a leak in the intake valve of stage 2 – check the sealing performance of the valve’s disc as well as whether the spring is broken. When the cylinder of stage 2 is expelling gas, the intake valve of stage 2 should be closed. If there is a leak in this valve, some of the gas will flow back through the intake valve into the exhaust pipeline of stage 1, resulting in an increase in the exhaust pressure at stage 1 (i.e., an increase in the pressure between the stages)
First, check the secondary intake valve; replace it if there is a problem. If everything is normal, then check the secondary exhaust valve; it might be faulty. During my on-site repairs, I encountered several instances where there was backflow of gas from the exhaust valve.
Using it once a while to reduce the device’s usage is not a proper method.
