As a supplementary discussion, if the alarm value is set at 0.4 and the thrust clearance is also 0.4, with the shaft displacement sensor mounted on the thrust disc at the middle position as the zero point, then does this mean that the thrust bearing has experienced 0.2 worth of wear by the time the alarm value is reached?
