Separation of isobutane and isobutylene

The separation of isobutane and isobutylene involves existing reactive distillation. Are there any newer separation methods?
The boiling points are too close. What I know for now is also a reaction. Isobutylene is converted into MTBE, which is then subjected to a reverse reaction to yield the desired product
In addition to the method of producing MTBE from isobutylene and then cracking it to obtain isobutylene again, there is also the method of reacting isobutylene with bromine water and subsequently removing the halogen to get isobutylene.
Isobutylene reacts with bromine water and then undergoes dehalogenation to yield isobutylene again; could you explain the principle behind this in detail?
Is there some kind of extraction separation method?
Have you seen such an industrial process? It must be from high school textbooks, right?
This post was last edited by happydays on 2016-6-20 09:21. It is wondered whether it is possible to use alkylation to react isobutane away, leaving isobutylene – I’m not sure if this is feasible. Extractive distillation cannot meet the requirements.
