Dear experts, I would like to ask: why does the color of DMAc become darker after multiple distillation cycles for recovery? Does this have an impact on the production process, and how can it be improved?

Hello, Senior Engineer. With a large number of cycles, and distillation being performed each time, the purity should be very high, over 99.9%. Is the change in color due to impurities present, or what’s causing it? I’d like to know the principle behind this and how to improve this situation. Thank you :)
