As the title suggests, a problem was identified during the review of a project: the sludge treatment system and the heat recovery unit for gas conversion are arranged together as a combined facility, separated by a common utility tunnel. The current situation is that, in accordance with the requirements of Table 4.2.12 in the Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises GB50160-2008, two Class A installations are required to be separated by 30 meters. If they are considered as a combined installation, then this separation distance is not necessary, which saves space. However, a combined installation is defined as one in which two or more installations have direct feed connections, no intermediate material storage tanks, and operate and shut down simultaneously; only when all these conditions are met can they be regarded as a combined installation. Given the current situation, the concept of direct feeding is rather unclear; since there is no other connection between the sludge from Texaco’s process and the shift reaction apart from flash vapor and condensate, I’m not sure whether this can be considered direct feeding. That’s why I posted this to learn from everyone*.
The main feed for the shift reaction is water gas. If the scrubber tower is removed from the gasification framework and placed inside the slag and water treatment unit, then the gas will pass through the water scrubber tower before being fed directly into the shift reaction unit; this can be considered direct feeding, I suppose

It is understood that in the current cold shock process, the ammonia level is too high, making wastewater treatment difficult. Several operating plants are implementing wastewater ammonia removal processes.
